Dental Bridges

If a tooth or some teeth are missing due to extractions or congenital missing, then dental bridges are an excellent way to replace missing teeth. It connects the adjacent teeth of the missing tooth and creates a bridge. It is made of Porcelain, Zirconia, porcelain fused to metal, metal alloys, or gold. To create a bridge, we need to prepare the adjacent teeth of the missing tooth area and re counter them to create an abutment. Then take an impression to send it to the dental lab for fabrication of the bridge. You get a temporary bridge on the same day; then, you will come back for a follow-up visit to set the dental bridge and place it on abutments then apply adhesive to make sure it is set. A dental bridge can be made of Porcelain, Porcelain fused to metal, zirconia, or metal alloys. Dental bridge or fixed partial denture will enhance your dental function and improve your smile as well. It is good to eat soft foods for the first few days after having your bridge placed, but later, you can have regular food. If you have a missing tooth, it is good to get a bridge to enhance your dental function and prevent the teeth movement to missing space.

Traditional dental bridges are comprised of two dental crowns with one or more artificial teeth attached in between them. The restoration is designed to close a gap caused by missing teeth. In addition to the traditional option, Dr. Ahmadian offers an implant-supported crown or bridge which does not affect the surrounding healthy teeth.
